New Birds: Features 111 new colorful and awe-inspiring birds from Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This incredibly biodiverse and abundant region is home to more than 3,000 bird species, including the birds with the smallest and largest wingspans in the world (the Bee Hummingbird and Snowy Albatross, respectively).
Hummingbirds: Hummingbirds make up about one tenth of the bird species in Latin America, delighting birders with their quick movements and shimmering feathers. Designer Elizabeth Hargrave (The Fox Experiment) and artists Natalia Rojas (Waddle Waddle), Ana Maria Martinez Jaramillo (Finspan), and Martha Clare highlight them in this expansion with a new type of card that adds a twist to gameplay.
Hummingbird Garden: Wingspan Americas introduces 40 tiny hummingbird cards that flit between players' boards and a garden board, creating a sense of abundance and a little bit of interaction when you place your hummingbird back in the garden. Gain benefits when hummingbirds arrive on your player mat and move up the hummingbird track when they leave.
Eco-Friendly Packaging: In an effort to help the environment, Wingspan Americas Expansion has no shrink wrap, is in a recyclable cardboard box, and uses a sticker on the back. This is with the idea that this box will be recycled, and the components added into your Wingspan game or Nesting Box.
Wingspan Game Required: In order to play, the Wingspan (Base Game) or Wingspan Asia (1-2 player) is required. Combines well with all expansions, though there are only 5 hummingbird tracks, so that mechanism doesn’t work with flock mode (6-7 players).
Bird Collecting: You are bird enthusiasts - researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors - seeking to discover and attract a beautiful and diverse network of birds to your wildlife preserve. This is an excellent gift for anyone who already owns Wingspan and wants to add some variety to their game.
Solo Play: Features an Automa to play against in a 1-player game for a fun solitaire experience. The Automa simulates an opponent for you to compete against, while your game as a player remains the same. On the Automa’s turn, flip a card to see what action it takes.
