Race to Berlin is an immersive two-player wargame designed by Krzysztof Dytczak. Players represent commanders of the Red Army and the Western Allies, but they also direct the German armies: the Soviet player moves them on the Western Front, the Allied player on the Eastern Front, each trying to slow down their opponent.
The game emphasizes direct interaction, fast-paced, and engaging battles, and the strategic management of scarce resources. Its innovative Front Lines system dynamically shifts the battlefield, vividly portraying the turmoil of wartime Europe. Race to Berlin was first released in 2015, and this Portal Games' edition features significantly improved components, a revised rulebook, and some rule adjustments based on experience with the first edition.
