The Italian 47/32 Anti-Tank Gun is popularly known as the Elefantino (little elephant). The Elefantino Anti Tank gun is used by Italian Infantry Battalions to protect them in the Desert and in Russia from tank attacks.
With the wheels removed it made a great asset in the desert open terrain because of its low profile. Issued to the Fucilieri it is widely used in North Africa and Russia. It is also used as an infantry support weapon for its small but effective high explosive rounds for both attack and defense.
