Flames of War Early-War German SS Mortar Platoon

The six 8cm GW34 mortars of the mortar platoon offer immediate and accurate support for an infantry company. They provide the ability to pin the enemy down while the SS troops manoeuvre into position to seize their objectives.

Mortars are exceptionally useful for targetting enemy machine-guns or anti-tank guns, either with smoke bombardments to obsure visibility, or with high explosive rounds to knock out weapons and crew.
