Description

Operations Olympic and Coronet were the first two parts of the planned American Invasion of Japan. Olympic was to commence on November of 1945 with the goal of capturing Kyushu, the southernmost of the major Japanese home islands. After establishing a foothold in Japan Operation Coronet was planned for the spring of 1946 with aim of landing on Honshu island and ultimately capturing Tokyo.

This is a solitaire game however there are optional rules for a second player to control the Japanese forces.

The primary goal of the Japanese defenders is to maximize the casualties inflicted on the Americans by whatever means neccessary while the Americans goal is to minize damage to their own forces by taking their objectives as quickly as possible.

This is a regiment/brigade level game. Each map hex represents 4 miles. Each scenario takes 2-3 hours to complete.

Contents: 2 34x22 inch maps, 560 counters, 32 rule and scenario book.
